Great evocative poem.
I found the following lines especially thought-provoking and visually appealing:
"Through withered, bony fingers
Of dark, skeletal trees.
Ancient voices whisper"
To me it spoke of the timeless nature of winter in its harsh,chilling nature.
The linking of 'Crazed' at the beginning and end was also a nice touch.

Great, plenty of action,atmosphere and realistic dialogue.

I think the sentence" Maksim stood still..." would make a strong opening, weather and place details worked in afterwards.

Just a few gram/typo details para 3 ' Maksim smiled.. to himself

Sentence "A thigh length jacket" needs an active verb

"In a few short months "or" great faction" not sure if you meant "our"

Im Seamus I'm from Ireland and writing is great. Storytelling in general.
To create stories and characters that people get enthralled with is a fantastic reward for any author and one day I hope to be an author. Im sure many of us would like to :)
