Crazy

Feeling lost and scared
The days grow dark and life seems short
I look back and see how well I've fared.

Everything seems different.
I always wonder about life
What it is meant.

I have an inkling
In a year my life will be different
I can feel my heart sinking.

I used to think that life would be the same
I was naive and never looked.
Am I to blame?

Humans fear change most of all
It's the one thing we can't control
We always learn learn, grow, become tall.

I wish and wish upon this star
The cosmos are so wide and free
But i know they are much to far.

When thinking of evolution,
We grow cringe
And as we speak, scientists seek a solution.

It drives us crazy,
knowing that we are ticking bombs
We lose sight of life, and it becomes hazy.

We run like we are racing,
But it's one we always lose
Only the dead know what we are facing.

We can only hope and cross our fingers,
As we rave like lunatics
And cling to what sanity that lingers
