There have been other women,
Other relationships and things,
But not like this.
Not with this energy, and not with this connection.

There's been other kisses,
Long ones and short ones,
Meaningful ones, departing ones.
But not like this.
Not with this feeling.
And not with this warmth.

And I've seen beauty
In the faces of movie stars,
People on the street,
Beautiful people in beautiful places.
But not like this.
Where seeing isn't enough
And I've got to take you and hold you
When it becomes too much
To just look at you
And not have you.

And there have been stories.
I've written many.
I've read many.
Seen many, heard many.
But not like this.
And that's how I know.
