"Really? What is it?" I called down.

"Come see!" Kai's voice rung through the mansion. My legs carried me to where Kai and Kira were. There was a huge box; wrapped in Christmas wrapping paper. Wait, I thought. It's not Christmas! As if Kai read my mind, he said, "Stupid girl. It's not Christmas." I pounced on him and bit his neck on accident. Then, I gave him a hickey. Kira boomed in laughter as I got up from the couch.

"Arisa, you gave Kai a hickey!!!"

"On accident, idiot," I muttered. Then I dove onto the wrapped box biting off the wrapping paper and F'POOing it out my mouth. There was a brown box, FedEx. I dug out all the styrophome and found something very small: a cellphone. I frowned at Kai and Kira.

    "Happy... birthdayyy..."

"My birthday's in seven months," I hissed at Kira. He coyly grinned and I frowned more.

"Well Arisa, now you have a cellphone," said Kai, who picked up the phone and handed it to me. I flipped it open and gasped. My wallpaper was a beautiful picture of Kai, and there was a sunset behind him. Flower petals were frozen in front of him and by his side. He had a small smile pasted on his face. I set down the phone and Kai cupped his hand over mine.

"Sure took people a Hell of a long time to get me to look like that, y'know," whispered Kai in such a straight face and serious tone. I couldn't help but laughing. I picked the phone up again and flipped it open. I looked closer at Kai's picture. His fake smile showed his teeth, and some of them were bloody.

    "Oh God, Kai."

Kai looked at Kira and Kira looked at Kai. They were making signals, then Kai spoke up.

"Kira and I decided to tell you a secret. You can't tell anyone, and I mean anyone, about it." I nodded and Kai leaned closer to me. "Kira and I... we're Vampires. And not the kind in Twilight who 'sparkle in the sun' or have 'super speed' or any of that other crap. But we can read minds and teleport. But Kira is half-Vampire, so he can only teleport.

"And, unlike Twilight, we don't turn people into Vampires if we bite them. We have a choice; we either turn victims into Vampires, kill them, or let them stay human and keep them alive. But we can't stop people dying from blood loss," Kai was looking at me with red eyes. My eyes were wide in fright.

    "S... So you mean you're a V... V... Vampire?!"

Kai nodded. Kira smiled at me and stood up.

"Well Kai, and human, what do ya say we eat lunch?"

I raced into the kitchen and slowly prepared myself miso soup. I made a couple of onigiris for myself as Kai and Kira prepared tuna sushi. I got jealous that they had sushi so I made myself some cucumber sushi and sat down with my plateful of food. I sipped my miso soup and scarfed down my onigiris and sushi. Kira and Kai ate their sushi at a normal pace.

    "Hey Kai?"

    "Hmm?"

    "May I ask you something?"

"Anything for the human." He chuckled.

    "I... It's about... me."
